Use Painter's Drop Cloth for Budget Decorating

If you haven't discovered painter's drop cloths, get yourself to Home Depot or Lowe's. A painter's drop cloth is made of a very heavy, cream-colored, linen-like fabric. I have used it to cover chair seats and for draperies. You can line the drop cloth with a cream-colored sheet. For drama, add long, heavy fringe. Painter's cloth draperies are practically new-sew window treatments. You can secure them to a curtain rod with clip rings. Or, if you don't mind sewing a little, you can make a hem at the top and thread the curtain rod through that.

You'll be amazed at how much fabric you can get. Go to the hardware store and check it out!
